Ellen’s Art Studio

If someone would have told me 20 years ago that I would have my own art studio at the beach and an online business doing what I love, I may not have believed it. Not a day goes by that I don't thank the Lord for what he has given me. My Studio has been open since 2007, teaching art classes, doing workshops and selling unique handmade items in the gift shop.

I noticed that people continued to choose the same design samples I had for parties and rather than teaching them over and over again, I decided to start doing videos-documenting the instructions and supplying them the paint, when they come in. Then they started asking to take them home. So I guess you could say, EllensArtKits was born by meeting customers needs. We started and never stopped. We were hand tracing the designs on the boards for years until we developed a stamping system that we still use today. Although I taught drawing lessons in my classes the pre-stamped designs were great for parties.

Blessed and Broken Creations

We have had the privilege of serving our community in so many ways. Working with veteran programs with post-traumatic stress, special needs, and much more as the Lord has led us. Two years ago Blessed and Broken Creations joined us and have donated greatly to the special needs community. Working with glass and epoxy has been a great addition to my shop and gift shop. I also have taught Bible classes in my shop and pray with people on a regular basis ministering as the Lord leads.

Pineapple Logo

Logo: The pineapple story. Several years ago I heard this story through a missionary named Otto Koning. It is a story about how the native people continued to steal the missionary’s pineapples he had grown. They only knew him as the angry white man, until years later he became convicted and decided to give everything over to the Lord. When he was no longer angry they said “you became a Christian!” Because he had given his pineapples to God, they now we're stealing from the Lord. Their crops begin to fail and they could no longer have children. They begged him to get his pineapples back from God, but he said no. They stopped stealing the pineapples and said “your God is very powerful” and they became Christians. After hearing this story, I woke up one morning and the Lord told me “the pineapple was to be my logo.” That as I see the pineapple I am reminded this business belongs to God. I turn it over to him continually and he has BLESSED it in so many ways.
